Five shops have turned into houses; Wild Fire is out of control in Ilam though Local Police, Armed Police and Nepal Army are trying their level bes

April 26, 2016 ­ In Nepaltar Bazar located at Ilam’s Sakhechul, the fire that started at morning 03:00 a.m. has come under control after the long attempt. The fire that erupted from short­circuit of electricity has blazed five shops including Ok Bahadur Katwal’s home. As Katwal’s home was ablaze, five shops installed in the building have been completely destroyed. Ganu Prasad Dhakal’s Medical store, Ganesh Thakur’s Clothes Shop, Om Prakash’s Electronic shops, Ok Bahadur’s Hotel and Kulmaya Adhikari’s shop have been destroyed. Though the loss of the property has not been reported yet, there has been loss of approximately 1 crore, as said by Rudra Katwal, an employee. Accordingly, a wild fire continued from the early morning in Laure Community Forest located at Namsangling – 9, Ilam has not come under control yet. Local Police, Armed Police and Nepal Army have continued to control the fire. Though no casualties have been reported, the fire is not under control yet, as said by Bijaya Rai from District Police Office. However, the houses under the risk of the fire have been protected with the contribution of Local Police, Armed Police and Nepal Army, according to local Ganesh Ghimire.
