The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has caught a Bardiya District Police Sub-Inspector, red handed, while accepting bribe to ‘sort’ a fraud case.

CIAA Kohalpur Office SP Deepak Thapa informed that police Sub-Inspector Nar Bahadur Sunar was caught red handed along with Rs 150,000 bribe money that he took from fraud accused Brajesh Yadav.

Thapa informed that a detailed investigation is underway regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the CIAA has postponed its all scheduled programmes to be held for the “Silver Jubilee 2072 BS”.

The commission spokesperson Krishna Hari Pushkar informed that the programmes were postponed with the government decision of not holding any official programmes for three days to mourn the demise of former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
