Rajyalakshmi said she would not ask her son to leave the Maoists
The mother of an Indian Maoist leader has had an emotional reunion with the son she has not seen since he took to the forests two decades ago.Ms Rajyalakshmi, 65, was reunited with Akkiraju Haragopal, alias Ramakrishna, chief of the Communist Party of India People's War Group in Andhra Pradesh.
They met in the state capital, Hyderabad, as Ramakrishna travelled to peace talks with the government.
Over 6,000 people have died in 30 years of Maoist struggle in Andhra Pradesh.
Graduation
The battle-hardened son, who has led the Maoist armed struggle from forest hideouts for the past two decades, did not betray any feeling.
Accompanied by two other sons and some other family members, Ms Rajyalakshmi came to the guest house where Ramakrishna and four other rebel leaders are staying as the state government's official guests.
Ramakrishna appeared ill at ease with so many relatives
The family spent more than two hours with Ramakrishna.
At one stage his mother touched his cheek to show her affection for the son who left his village home soon after completing his graduation studies to pursue the Maoist ideology.
Ramakrishna, who told journalists that he was already missing the jungle life he is now used to, seemed ill at ease in the presence of so many relatives.
Later, his mother said she did not ask him to leave the armed struggle and come back to her.
She said her son was pursuing his own ideology and it would not be fair to ask him to leave that path.
The reunion brought many other distraught parents to the guest house thinking their sons may be there too.
One of them, Chandramma, met Ramakrishna on Wednesday to ask the whereabouts of her son, Swamy, who had been missing for the past five years. Ramakrishna broke the news that her son had been killed by police a couple of years ago.

Build a business:This is the easiest way to earn your millions. We've heard stories of entrepreneurs who have made their fortunes many times over because of the business they've built. Building a business is fun and gives you maximum freedom if you do it the right way. However, I would stay away from multi-level marketing firms, unless you're a sales superstar. Building a successful business requires you to create and use your own template, not that of others. The better system you can devise, the further you can go. One of the keys to building a business is that you surround yourself around the right people and stay educated. You'll also have to break many habits that you've been taught while growing up. Besides the many hours you put into your business in the beginning, the payoff is substantial and you could earn your first million within three years, like I did. There are more options than ever to do this if you're willing to make it happen!Bonus: Or you can do all. If you can specialize in a trade and become a sales superstar as you build your business, you'll be able to do what only the greatest innovators have been able to do.
