Three VDCs are dependent on tradition boat since two years; 2­Yrs Back, Wild Flood had Destructed newly Constructed Suspension Bridge and Killed 31 People

 May 20 2016 ­ The flood that occurred in Babai River on Shrawan 29, 2071 B.S. had flooded the suspension bridge before completion of one year of its constructed at the then Sanushree VDC, Bardiya. As the bridge could not be made afterward, the villagers of Padanaha, Baniyabhar, and Magaragadi VDCs are compelled to endure the difficulties. When the bridge, which had been constructed between Padanaha and the market of this area – Saneshree; the people there are compelled to use the traditional boats to do up and down between the village and Gularia. There is only some months remain before the rainy season, as the bridge has not been constructed, the dweller of the VDCs are suffering from the hardships, as said by the local dwellers. According to the local dwellers, it is very difficult to manage the lifestyle in the rainy season. There has not been the bridge construction work these days, according to the dwellers. According to a local dweller who was asked how many VDC’s villagers suffer during the flood, three VDC are affected by the flood. In the next question, approximately how many people live these three VDCs, he answered – many people are affected. As the two year old destructed suspension bridge was not reconstructed since then, it has been difficult to reach to the market and even to Saneshree VDC. The three VDCs’ local dwellers, now also, travel in boat. The suspension bridge was constructed but was flooded before complete hand­over.
