A passer-by in Stockton, California, filmed the in^cident. In the video it can be seen the first cop putting his bulky weight on the skinny suspect who is curled up in a ball, cowering away from the aggressive officer in a flowerbed.
The officer is holding his baton against the suspect’s shins and is holding it with his both hands. While the suspect holds the middle of the weapon to try and protect himself, the cop tries to strike the young man in the face twice. As the officer stru*ggles with the young man in the street, a passer-by can be heard screaming over and over again during the whole exchange. ”He’s just a kid, what are you doing?’
While the sho^cked suspect sits on the wall with his head in his hands, the officer then gets off the suspect and puts his baton away. Telling him to turn around, the cop continues to scream at him. But the boy doesn’t seem to register, simply sitting still on the wall, holding his face.
Screams for the onlooker continues and she can be heard saying, ‘It’s a f***ing kid! Get off him! He’s been jaywalking! Leave him alone, he didn’t do anything wrong!’ Saying, ‘Stop resisting!’, the cop continues to shout at the suspect. Four more join the c*op detaining the young man after the four officers arrive to cordon off the area. They force him to the ground so he can be cuf^fed, after physically pulling him up from the wall. Witnesses say that the incident began because the suspect was seen jaywalking. They said the cop was telling the teenager to sit down, but the boy continued walking to his bus, before the camera started rolling.
