Human will feel stress, loneliness, and fear by living alone,. But a Chinese man is living alone in an abandoned village for a decade. Liu Shengjia is alone in remote Xuenshanshe village of China. A decade ago, his mother and younger brother passed away.Then after, he became accustomed to only having sheep for company in the remote part of Gansu province.

There used to be at least 20 families living in that village. They started to relocate when natural resources became scarce and people started dying from old age. Till 2006, there was left only Liu Shengjia’s family. He became alone after the de@th of his mother and brother. However, he did not left the village.
He says that he felt so sad to live alone and he wasn’t able to sleep at night while listening to the howling of the wild dogs.But after he started to tend a few sheep and they become his companions, he slowly got used to living alone.
He states that there are some benefits of living alone.He could choose whichever house to live in, most of which still contained stuff that belonged to its previous owners. However, he just do not feel alone. He should walk for long distance for water and food. He even don’t have mobile phone with him. Similarly, no work to be busy.
He works for the protection of local forest as a temporary forest watcher and earns 700 yuan ($107) a month at his job.Despite of living alone, he have thoughts to go live in a town in some day. He says that there is no difficulty to live there, but he have thoughts to live in large population living area one day. The time has not come yet for that.
An empty villages are called ghost village in China.Lately, these kind of villages are growing.
