Thirty-three people were killed when a passenger bus met with an accident at Birtadeurali in Kavre district on Monday, Home Ministry confirmed.According to peace and security officer at the ministry’s department of crime control, Chiranjivi Nepal, 33 people were killed in the accident and 28 injured passengers have been brought to Kathmandu for treatment.The ill-fated bus (Ba 3 Kha 106) heading for Dolalghat from Kathmandu plunged some 150 metres down the road at Khaharekhola in Birtadeurali, SP Rajeshnath Bastola said. The security personnel have been collecting the dead bodies that are scattered over the cliffA helicopter reached the incident site to airlift the injured passengers for treatment. The accident site is 50 Km away from Dhulikhel.Chief District Officer Bal Krishna Panthi and District Police Chief Rajesh Nath Bastola have left for the incident site saying that a huge human casualty has occurred.
