Tilak Banjade , June 06, 2016 (1 like mero des lai) – As the women violence increased because of drinking domestic alcohol, local women of Dhulikhel’s Chaukot, the headquarter of Kavre district became active in the campaign to control alcohol. As husbands beats them and tortures them daily drinking alcohol they had begun the alcohol control campaign said the local women. Local women said, they use to go for work whole day but their husband used to go to the locals shop to drink homemade alcohol and starts to beat them and tortures them returning home being drunk. Not only women had to suffer but also their small children have to suffer said local women. Because of the cruel behavior of their drunken husband even they could not eat properly at night as well as can feed their children properly as their husband used to beat them scold them and also take them out of the house. Gathering all the women from the entire village they went to each and every local hotel where there use to produce domestic alcohol in order to control alcohol with the support of police team. Even women begin their alcohol control campaign by doing march delivering various slogans from Srikhandapur to Chaukot. Women also have controlled domestic alcohol and its production material going to different hotels and handed its responsibility to the police. Even women have sealed the raw material used for producing alcohol and the tools too were handed over to the police.
