Pen drive might be small but it does big works. But there are chances of data being leaked when files are transferred. You might not know that pen drive can be made safe by adding password. Bit locker encryption can be used to keep data safe. But for this your laptop must have Windows 7 Ultimate OS or the newer ones. This is how you an add password to pen drive:
Step 1:
Connect your pen drive to the computer. If the pen drive has data, scan it and if it is empty, format it. Then right click on it and select ‘Turn on Bit locker’.

Select a password. Click on ‘next’. You will be asked to save the ‘Bit locker recovery key’. You can use it in case you forget your password.

Select ‘Save to file’ and a location will be asked where you will save the recovery key. Save the recovery key by browsing a location.

Then another window will open. Click on ‘next’ and click on ‘next’ until you see ‘Start Encrypting’.

It will take time for the encryption to complete. Once the process is complete, disconnect the pen drive and connect it again. Now your pen drive is secured with a password.
