More than 32 People died of the Heavy Rain and Landslides in Sri Lanka;

Heavy rain and landslides have taken the life of at least 32 people there. According to the officials, dozens of people are mission in the landslides in Shreepur, Pallet High, Elizabeta, in Sri Lanka. About 60 houses have been buried in the landslides and 150 people have been rescued from the houses. More than 3.5 lakh people have been displaced due to landslide. In the mean time, the speaker of Sri Lankan army has said that the huge rescue teams have been deployed for the rescue of the victims. By early Wednesday morning, the Disaster Management Center had recorded 23 injuries due to flash floods in the southwestern parts of the island. The government shut down schools in two of the worst­affected provinces. Some parts of Colombo are also affected by flooding. Sri Lankan Officials have said the death toll reached to 37 in the heavy rain, flash floods and landslides. On the other hand, in the southern provinces of India also, heavy rain is going on since the Tuesday, which is continuous longer than 24 hours. After pooling the water on the road surface of Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai, lives of people are getting difficulties.
