May 31, 2016 : On May 27, Bimal Pun murdered his own wife and daughter in Pokhara. It had been only one year that Bimal Pun and Sujan Gharti who were brothers resided in Pokhara with their families in the same house. The families originally belong to Baglung. Bimal Pun was addicted towards alcohol and smoking. However fews months back he had left these habits and was living a normal life with his family. But on May 27, he suddenly killed his wife Narmaya Shirish Pun and daughter Buniya Pun who was only 6 years old. Buniya used to study in class U.K.G in Kaski Modernize School. The murder was done with an iron rod inside the room. According to Bimal’s brother Sujan, Sujan brought Buniya and his own daughter from the school at evening time. Narmaya was inside their own room. Sujan’s daughter when asked her to take to toilet, he took her there. And in this course Bimal killed Narmaya and Buniya inside the room locking the room from inside. After the murder he informed Sujan about it. This case seem so unusual and creepy for Bimal was only 31 years old and was not suffering from any kind of mental disorder. Similarly there was no any specific reason to kill his wife and at least not the innocent 6 years old daughter. Bimal after the murder did not even try to fled away from the place. He kept on staying inside the home and after a while police arrested him. The whole bereaved family are plunged in grief and are still in shock.
