Achham’s Sera VDC ward no. 7’s residents Govinda Sunar and Jaumati’s 2­year’s child is sick. Due to malnutrition, he not only falls sick; his skull looks abnormally huge in size and his rest of the body parts are lean and thin as if there is nothing except bone and skin. Due to existence of only bone and skin, eyes look like terribly they are popping out. These gazing eyes are seeking for the care and the poor family members are asking for the helpful hands. Due to malnutrition, he is being treated at District Hospital at Achham, now. The doctors who are involved in his treatment are hopeful to the positive changes in his heath condition. But doctors have not been able to identify whether the deficiency of nutrients only or something else as well. Moreover, the doctors are hopeful of getting positive changes in his health. They say that the children suffer from these types of problems due to lack of nutritious food. Public Health Superintendent Chakra Bista has expressed his belief that there would be positive changes within 7 days in case the treatment is done under the observation of a doctor. Achham District Hospital’s head doctor Dr. Ram Bahadur K.C. said that such problem is normal in some African countries; it has shocked him looking the problem in Nepal’s hospital. His condition has been publicized due to his check­up at the hospital of headquarter. Many such children are there to leave the life due to lack of nutritious food and the proper treatment.
