Shortage of Gas though there is 52,33,661 cylinder­full LP Gas in the Market, It has been estimated that there is 62 lakh gas cylinders

According to the statistics, 74,318 ton gas has been imported within three months – February, March and April; which fills up 52,33,661 LP Gas cylinders. It has been estimated that there is 62 lakh gas cylinders. NOC’s acting Director Mr. Mukunda Prasad Ghimire has said that the quantity of gas has been decreased in the market as IOC has not supplied in the required quantity; and which has caused the shortage of gas in the market. “As IOC is not supplying the gas in the required quantity due to some reasons – like it had said that it’s plant set in Haldiya has been damaged; so there is problem in loading the gas; and several such reasons have affected the quantity of gas imported; according to the demand, if we could ask for 40,000 metric ton of gas every month, there would not be shortage of gas in the market,” says NOC. NOC’s Director Ghimire said that the gas would be easily available in case the import is increased in comparison to the last month’s import. “This is the goods import from other countries; we have plenty of bullets and all other things; but the quantity of gas that had to come has not been able to come; there is the problem; that problem has not been solved but our endeavor is going on,” says Director Ghimire, NOC.
