An unidentified group has set ablaze the Ncell tower in Chitwan last night. Two persons who came on a motorbike at 10:30 pm torched the telecommunications tower at Shanti Chowk of Bharatpur Sub Metropolis – 6, District Police Office, Chitwan said. They used a jute sack to set off the fire on the tower. Police are still working to find out the actual detail of the damages incurred in the arson attack. The police team from Ward Police Office, Narayangadh arrived at the scene after being informed by locals. The police launched a search for the attackers. The attack bears the hallmark of recent attacks on Ncell towers across many districts by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplop’ led CPN Maoist.
