In a same district, due to drought, 9 farmers have committed suicide and 4 farmers were shocked to death just looking at the destroyed crops on the field. According to the villagers, the people had committed suicide because of heavy debt and drought In Lalitpur, Lalitpur village of Bundelkhand district in Utter Pradesh. Nine farmers have committed suicide and four others died due to acute depression over crop loss and heavy debt in Lalitpur village of Bundelkhand district in UP. At Lalitpur when a farmer goes to the field, the family have only one feeling – whether the man comes back in the evening or commits suicide on the land. Govind Das had a loan of Rs.1,50,000 due to drought; however, from any ways, the farmer could not refund the loan; and so committed suicide as the people who provided loan were troubling them for the refund after crossing the deadline. And so he committed suicide hanging himself on the mango tree. At Lalitpur, within a month, 9 farmers committed suicide for the same reason; and at the same time, 4 farmers have shocked to death just looking at the hopeless field
