Lantang is one of the famous trekking spot of Nepal. Gosainkunda, situated in Lantang is listed as the third most popular trekking spot across the nation. But the number of tourists after earthquake had plunged significantly. However the spot has started overcoming the losses now. Wrecked hotels and lodges of Langtang in Rasuwa are reconstructed. Even though no visitors were seen after the earthquake, by the last month of 2072, the number of visitors of Gosainkunda, Langtang is accounted to be 2 Thousand. It is an overwhelming issue for the local inhabitants there and especially for the hotel and lodge businessmen. Due to fault information and lack of communication facility, tourists had nearly stopped visiting Gosainkunda. But slowly the number of trekkers and visitors have started increasing day by day. Different programs are conducted for the positive advertisement of this place. Recently a marathon competition was held in Gosainkunda where participants from foreign countries and native countries competited. Gosainkunda area comprises of 17 lakes, that carries religious beliefs and importance too. Many pilgrims and visitor visit the place especially during Janai Purnima
