Children who experience inadequate or disrupted sleep are more likely to develop depression and anxiety disorders later in life, suggests a new research. "Healthy sleep is critical for children's psychological well-being," said principal investigator of the study Candice Alfano, Associate Psychology Professor at the University of Houston in the US. "Continually experiencing inadequate sleep can eventually lead to depression, anxiety and other types of emotional problems,

" Alfano noted. The findings are based on temporary sleep restrictions in 50 pre-adolescent children between the ages of seven to 11. Inadequate sleep impacts children's emotional health not only by creating more negative emotions, but also by altering positive emotional experiences, the results showed. For example, after just two nights of poor sleep, children derive less pleasure from positive things, are less reactive to them and less likely to recall details about these positive experiences later.
When their normal nightly sleep habits are adequate in duration, however, they find these emotional effects are less apparent, the study found."Parents, therefore, need to think about sleep as an essential component of overall health in the same way they do nutrition, dental hygiene and physical activity," Alfano said in a University of Houston statement."If your child has problems waking up in the morning or is sleepy during the day, then their nighttime sleep is probably inadequate. This can result for several reasons, such as a bedtime that is too late, non-restful sleep during the night or an inconsistent sleep schedule," Alfano pointed out.

The University of Puget Sound (Puget Sound. UPS) is a private liberal arts college located in the North End of Tacoma, Washington, in the United States.[2] It is the only national, independent undergraduate liberal arts college in Western Washington.

Puget Sound offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, Master of Occupational Therapy, and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees. The college draws approximately 2,600 students from 44 states and 16 countries. It offers 1,200 courses each year in more than 50 traditional and interdisciplinary areas of study.[8]

In 2012 Puget Sound was named one of 40 schools nationwide in the college guide Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges.[9] The guide cites the college's dynamic curriculum, close interaction between students and professors, ideal location, and enduring success of its alumni as qualities that set it apart from other schools.

Ties to The United Methodist Church remain,[1][2][3][4] though the college is no longer officially affiliated with the church and the board of trustees is independently elected.

Build a business:This is the easiest way to earn your millions. We've heard stories of entrepreneurs who have made their fortunes many times over because of the business they've built. Building a business is fun and gives you maximum freedom if you do it the right way. However, I would stay away from multi-level marketing firms, unless you're a sales superstar. Building a successful business requires you to create and use your own template, not that of others. The better system you can devise, the further you can go. One of the keys to building a business is that you surround yourself around the right people and stay educated. You'll also have to break many habits that you've been taught while growing up. Besides the many hours you put into your business in the beginning, the payoff is substantial and you could earn your first million within three years, like I did. There are more options than ever to do this if you're willing to make it happen!Bonus: Or you can do all. If you can specialize in a trade and become a sales superstar as you build your business, you'll be able to do what only the greatest innovators have been able to do.
