Thus, epidemics spread killing the people in large number. So, proper disposal of garbage and liquid wastes and maintenance of sanitary conditions is necessary.
Proper use of lavatories:
Scientifically planned lavatories should be constructed for the proper disposal of human wastes.
Human faces and urine provide the breeding ground for several kinds of germs. So people must be discouraged from relieving themselves in the open. Improper disposal of such wastes encourages spread of diseases.
We should use the toilet properly. The toilet should be flushed with water before and after the use. After the use, the toilet should be thoroughly cleaned. We should wash our hands with soap and clean water after using the toilet.
In our community, it is necessary to build public lavatories in different places in cities and villages, so that the people can make use of such facilities instead of using the road side and other places for relieving themselves.

Sanitation of house and its environment:
A good house should have proper sanitary conditions and water supply. There should be enough water supplies for sanitation. There should be a proper arrangement in the house for the disposal of other waste materials. In order to get water and wastes out of the house, a system of drain pipes is necessary. A vent pipe extends from the first floor to the roof to release odours and gases produced by wastes. Drain pipes should be placed at the lowest level.

We must think and observe the following things to establish a healthy environment and a clean place for us to live in:
